Zhengzhou Huawei Refractory Materials Named a "National Green Factory"
Zhengzhou Huwei Refractory Materials Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of "National Green Factory" in February 2026. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released the "List of Green Factories and Green Industrial Parks (2025)". Zhengzhou Huwei Refractory Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Puyang Refractories Group Co., Ltd. (002225), was awarded the title of "National Green Factory" for its outstanding performance in green manufacturing system construction, efficient energy and resource utilization, clean production practices, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
This authoritative certification marks another milestone for Zhengzhou Huwei in its green and low-carbon transformation, following its previous achievements as a "Henan Provincial Green Factory," an A-level environmental performance enterprise, and ranking among the top in Henan's refractory industry green development ranking. Five refractory material companies, including Liaoning Shenghua, Zhengzhou Huwei, Zhengzhou Kewei, Luoyang Shengtie, and Saint-Gobain, were included in this list.
1. Over Seventy Years of Green Commitment
This honor stems from Zhengzhou Huwei's unwavering commitment to green development for over seventy years. Since the 1990s, when environmental awareness was not yet widespread, Zhengzhou Huwei pioneered the construction of systematic dust removal facilities, initiating its exploration of green transformation.
From introducing advanced tunnel kiln technology and resolutely dismantling high-energy-consuming down-draft kilns, to being among the first in the industry to fully utilize clean energy—natural gas; from continuously investing heavily in ultra-low emission retrofitting, achieving fully enclosed material management, and building an intelligent monitoring system, to independently developing and promoting chromium-free environmentally friendly new products—Zhengzhou Huwei has always adhered to the principle of "contributing to society" and the determination of "persistent effort," integrating environmental responsibility into the very fabric of its corporate development.
In recent years, the company has built a leading domestic flue gas treatment system, improved emission control facilities, and put into operation a waste heat recovery and utilization project.
