I. Structural Innovation: Enhancing Flexural and Compressive Strength in Refractory Bricks

This patent was jointly developed by a team from Zhengzhou Huawei, including Zheng Kaifeng, Wang Xinchao, Li Hongliang, Guo Jifeng, Huang Xin, Yao Feng, Wei Yahui, Zhao Xiaoke, Li Liping, and Li Qian. According to the patent abstract, the refractory brick achieves significantly enhanced overall strength through built-in reinforcing ribs and simplifies the assembly of the thermal-insulating carbon fiber board layer via an innovative interlocking design. Furthermore, the interconnection of interlocking blocks, slots, and reinforcing ribs ensures a tight, secure fit between bricks during stacking, resulting in a refractory structure that is exceptionally stable, reliable, and resistant to both compression and bending.

In high-temperature industrial kilns, refractory bricks must withstand the combined challenges of thermal stress, mechanical loads, and material erosion. Conventional refractory bricks are prone to issues such as cracking and spalling during prolonged use, which compromise the integrity and service life of the kiln lining. Through structural optimization—and without altering the material composition—this patented technology enhances the bricks' flexural strength and compressive capacity, offering a new technical solution for the long-term, stable operation of kiln linings.

II. Continuous Accumulation of Technical Innovations

This patent grant marks another achievement for Zhengzhou Huawei in the field of structural innovation for refractory materials. To date, the company holds a total of 71 patents, including 8 invention patents and 44 utility model patents. The company's technical R&D center has been designated as a provincial-level enterprise technology center; in 2023, the Xinmi Branch of the Refractory Materials Innovation Center was established based on this facility.
